Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Camp Jordan Counselor, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for children 7-15 years old. As a counselor, you will lead engaging activities, foster positive relationships, and support children's growth and development through dynamic programming. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in childcare, education, and youth engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead supervise and engage campers in camp activities, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of activities tailored to different age groups.
• Maintain cabin and group management by setting clear expectations and encouraging positive behavior among campers. Provide guidance and support to campers in their social interactions
• Assist with organizing and implementing daily schedules and routine
• Provide first aid when necessary, following safety protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with the leadership team, fellow counselors and staff to coordinate schedules, share responsibilities, and ensure smooth camp operations.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of camp facilities

Skills

• Experience working with children is preferred. Tutoring, babysitting, childcare, or coaching is a plus.
• Strong group management skills with the ability to guide behavior positively and effectively.
• First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification with employment.
• Ability to lead a broad range of activities and recreational programs that promote childhood development.
• Excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members in a respectful manner.

Pay: $400.00 - $460.00 per week
