Camp Photographer (Contract role onsite in June)

Camp Judaea’s mission is to provide a safe, fun, nurturing community where children, teens, and young adults grow as individuals, build lifelong friendships, develop leadership skills, and establish enduring connections with Judaism, Israel, and the natural environment.

Residence at Camp Judaea or within a 30 minute drive of Hendersonville, NC, is required for the duration of the role.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Camp Photographer to join our team for a contract role onsite in June. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a passionate visual storyteller eager to capture the essence of our summer camp experience through compelling photography and videography. As a key contributor, you will document memorable moments, craft engaging visual content, and support our social media and promotional efforts. Your expertise in photo and video editing, art direction, and color management will help bring our camp stories to life, inspiring future campers and families alike.

Duties

• Capture high-quality photographs and videos of camp activities, events, and participants during the onsite month of June
• Edit photos using Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, and other Adobe Creative Suite tools to enhance image quality and consistency
• Manage color correction and color theory principles to ensure vibrant, true-to-life visuals across all media
• Collaborate with camp staff to understand key moments worth highlighting and ensure alignment with branding and storytelling goals
• Manage digital assets efficiently, maintaining organized files for easy access and sharing on social media platforms
• Support social media management by creating captivating content that boosts engagement and showcases the camp experience

Experience

• Proven experience in photography and videography, preferably in event or camp settings
• Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and the full Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of color management techniques and color theory principles
• Demonstrated skills in post-production editing, photo manipulation, and video editing workflows
• Experience filming on location with an eye for capturing authentic moments under varying lighting conditions
• Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for content sharing and audience engagement
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality deliverables
