Camp Wediko Clinical Manager

Camp Wediko is hiring a temporary Clinical Manager for their Windsor, New Hampshire location. Located on 450 lakefront acres, Camp Wediko is a six-week residential summer camp serving youth with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges ranging in age from 8-18. The Clinical Manager is a full time, seasonal position which oversees the daily clinical operations of Camp Wediko.

The Clinical Manager works under the supervision of the Program Director and is responsible for providing direct leadership, management, and supervision for the team of Clinical Supervisors. The Clinical Manager collaborates with Camp and New Hampshire program leadership, caregivers of campers, residential staff, and outside providers to ensure that youth are receiving the best treatment and care possible.

How You'll Be Making a Difference

  • Support camper admissions process and facilitate Camper Arrival Day with support of the New Hampshire admissions team.
  • Oversee all clinical program aspects and ensure compliance with evidence based clinical practice and treatment modalities.
  • Live on campus full-time during the summer and participate in the time-off rotation with other program staff.
  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight of team of Clinical Supervisors.
  • Collaborate with the Camp Wediko leadership team to deliver an effective therapeutic milieu.
  • Oversee design and implementation of treatment plans and interventions for population of psychiatrically complex campers.
  • Design and facilitate the implementation of clinical interventions for campers and families needing high-level expertise.
  • Provide and/or coordinate clinical trainings for staff on clinical topics relevant to client services provided by Camp Wediko.
  • Review treatment plans, case notes, and written correspondence to verify that such documents meet agency standards and best practices.
  • Provide supervision, crisis intervention, and support for Camp Wediko staff.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with families, referring agencies, schools, and community providers.
  • Ensure completion and quality of camper summary reports, as well as their distribution at the end of the summer.
  • Participate in management team meetings. Facilitate Clinical Supervisor team meetings.
  • Assist and work with the Program Leadership regarding strategic and long-range planning as needed.

Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctoral Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, behavioral science, or equivalent field of study.
  • Independently licensed therapist or educator for a minimum of five years
  • Minimum of five years’ experience providing supervision to staff; developing clinical programming
  • Experience in outpatient and residential settings is preferred

Abilities Required

This position requires the ability to walk the rugged terrain of our outdoor campus, an active wooded setting. The Clinical Manager will often be outdoors engaging in active recreational activities in the unpredictable summer seasonal elements of New Hampshire. This includes working in hot and humid temperatures and rain. The ability to bend, hold and lift is also required as indicated by behavioral management techniques. Employees are responsible for transportation to one of the pick-up and drop-off locations at the beginning and end of summer (Manchester Airport, Boston Logan Airport, or direct transport to and from campus). The Clinical Manager is expected to participate in two weeks of training prior to child arrival day and a week following child departure day to allow time for documentation, debrief, and clean up of the physical campus.
