About the Role and Objectives
An experienced animal rights advocate will lead ADI campaigns, advocacy and policy objectives, create awareness, encourage supporters to take action and donate.

Management and promotion of campaigns to end use of animals in entertainment (performances, circuses, rides, zoos, movies, so-called ‘sport’, online), replacement of animals in research and testing with advanced, non-animal methods, and other campaigns.

Liaises with elected representatives, officials, corporate sector, public, local supporters, and donors.

Public spokesperson; collaborates with public relations team.

Works closely with ADI science team, investigations, policy, social media, and public relations teams to deliver short and long term objectives.

Writing, drafting, editing online and hard copy materials: letters, emails, social posts, reports, magazines, marketing and other communications/collateral to engage public, supporters, and corporations to take action and donate.

Development and maintenance of website(s), digital platforms (with PR & social team).
Who should apply:
You have at least two years’ full-time experience in campaigning and animal rights advocacy (professional, or proven voluntary achievements), and you are ready to take on both US and international campaigns, supporting ADI campaigns across continents and time zones. You will be able to demonstrate your grasp of ADI campaigns as well as general animal rights issues.
Required Skills:

Educated to degree level or equivalent (or relevant experience)

Excellent written English; you will create well-researched, impactful and persuasive content for social and legacy media, corporations, elected representatives, and officials.

An excellent, persuasive, in-person advocate for ADI, you will speak in person in the media, or to legislators, companies and others about protection of animals and the environment.

Excellent digital, internet and social skills, e.g. Canva and/or other graphics programs, MS Office suite, online research services (ChatGPT not permitted for writing).

Working with the senior directors, you will lead campaign planning and strategy.

Good leadership skills for an international team working across continents and time zones; organized, creative, resourceful; a planner, you can deliver campaign objectives.

You are reliable, able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Plant-based lifestyle preferred.
Terms:
Salary: $80-90,000/year (dependent on experience/qualifications).
Hybrid: remote+ LA office.
Permanent, full time, exempt, at-will.
