ABOUT BROOKLYN CAMPERVANS

Brooklyn Campervans blends upscale craftsmanship with minimalist design to create custom campervans to adventure comfortably all 4 seasons off-grid. Started in 2020, Brooklyn Campervans is the leader in the industry and fast developing in the mobile office industry as well.

JOB SUMMARY:

Below is a list of tasks involved in build a camper van. Knowledge of everything is not required, but we expect 2+ years of relevant experience.

• Cabinet making
• Edgebanding - Festool edgebander
• Assembling CNC parts, sanding and finish work.
• Installation of drawers, sliders, gas struts, and hinges.
• Trim work and detailed wood working

Bonus (not required of role or experience):

• Install AC / Fan / heater / CCTV / satellite internet / solar panels / battery system
• Vehicle aftermarket additions: wheels & tires, cargo carrier, step-up board, roof rack, windows, off-road lights, awning, ladder, spare tire carrier etc.
• Appliance (fridge, stove), and outlets
• 12v and 120v wiring
• Basic Plumbing
• Lighting - puck lights, RGB LED

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Follows work instructions and specifications to determine required assembly and installation of various van components.

● Tracks adequate supplies of assembly, sub-assembly, and installation parts for a particular task and requests supplies through purchasing or appropriate channels.

● Assembles components per work instructions. Takes detailed notes if needed for new instructions.

● Practices good housekeeping by keeping work stations, kits, neighboring areas and aisles clean and accessible.

● Demonstrate leadership skills and task management in small teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

● Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
● Must have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
● Ability to operate the necessary equipment in compliance with quality control standards.
● Ability to maintain personal safety rules regarding work.
● Ability to work well with others, communicate effectively in small groups and 1-on-1 situations within the organization.
● Must be reliable, have good initiative, be committed, and be quality focused.
● Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
● Computer skills preferred (use of spreadsheets, Google Suite, email, web research, word processing)
● Great attention to detail.
● Possess a positive attitude with a work ethic of the highest degree.
● Must maintain personal safety rules regarding work.
● Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
● Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
● Must be 21 years or older.

EDUCATION:

● High School or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

● At least 2 years of relevant experience.

TYPE:

● W2 Employee, paid PTO and Sick Days.
● Starts at $21-$25/hr
