Description:
Under the direction of the Beaver County Recreation Coordinator, the Campground Host serves as the on-site representative for County-operated campgrounds. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to visitors, supporting campground operations, assisting with basic maintenance, and promoting a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the public. The Campground Host plays a key role in enhancing visitor experience while ensuring compliance with County rules and regulations.

Greet campers and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.

Provide information regarding campground rules, policies, amenities, and local attractions within Beaver County.

Assist visitors with campsite registration, reservations, and general inquiries.

Distribute maps, permits, and informational materials as needed.

Perform light maintenance duties including cleaning fire rings, raking campsites, and picking up litter.

Clean and maintain restroom facilities and common areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.

Identify and report maintenance needs, hazards, or vandalism to County staff.

Monitor campground activity to ensure adherence to Beaver County rules, including quiet hours, fire restrictions, and occupancy guidelines.

Promote safe campground practices and educate visitors on regulations when necessary.

Report emergencies, suspicious activity, or incidents promptly to the Parks Supervisor or appropriate authorities.

Maintain accurate records of campsite occupancy and visitor use.

Assist with operational tasks such as firewood sales, fee collection, or permit verification, as assigned.

Complete daily activity logs and reports for Beaver County Parks & Recreation.

Maintain a visible and approachable presence within the campground.

Be available during peak usage times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Serve as a positive representative of Beaver County to residents and visitors.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Basic knowledge of maintenance and cleaning practices.

Ability to handle difficult situations or conflicts in a calm and professional manner.

Must reside on-site at the assigned campground for the duration of employment (typically in a personal RV or similar accommodation).

Must be available to work approximately 20–30+ hours per week.

Required availability includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to perform light physical labor including walking, bending, lifting, and general grounds upkeep.
