Job Overview
Tohickon Family Campground is seeking a dependable, hands-on Campground Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance operations of our campground.
This is a working supervisor position, meaning you will both perform maintenance work and lead maintenance staff and projects. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently, make sound decisions, prioritize repairs, and lead others to ensure the campground remains safe, clean, and operating at a high standard.
We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, leads by example, communicates effectively, and can successfully manage maintenance priorities without constant supervision.
A year-round RV site with utilities included is provided as part of the compensation package, making this an excellent opportunity for an RV owner seeking stable, long-term employment in a beautiful outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
- Lead and coordinate daily maintenance operations
- Assign and prioritize maintenance tasks
- Train, mentor, and support maintenance team members
- Hold team members accountable to company standards
- Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed efficiently
- Communicate staffing, equipment, and supply needs to campground leadership
- Serve as the primary maintenance leader when management is not on-site
- Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
Maintenance & Operations
- Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the campground
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, and facility issues
- Maintain bathhouses, campground buildings, cabins, and common areas
- Complete campsite repairs and infrastructure improvements
- Maintain roads, grounds, landscaping, and outdoor facilities
- Operate and maintain maintenance equipment, mowers, tractors, and tools
- Conduct routine inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and urgent guest concerns
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and materials
- Document completed work and communicate project updates
- Assist with campground opening, closing, and seasonal preparation activities
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary
- Support campground events and operational needs during peak seasons
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance, construction, facilities, property maintenance, campground operations, or a related field
- Ability to perform repairs independently with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding outdoor work
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional emergency situations as needed
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
Preferred
- Previous campground, RV park, resort, property management, or hospitality maintenance experience
- Experience supervising or leading employees
- Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, equipment repair, or general construction experience
- Experience operating tractors, skid loaders, mowers, or similar equipment
- Knowledge of water, sewer, and utility systems

Compensation & Benefits
