Position Overview
The Campus Compliance Officer serves as the institution's primary subject matter expert for all aspects of accreditation, regulatory authorization, operational compliance, and policy development best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as the designated institutional representative for the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and other regulatory agencies
- Monitors and communicates updates on accreditation, state, and federal requirements affecting Rockford Career College to appropriate leadership
- Obtains and maintains necessary authorizations across all relevant jurisdictions
- Provides expert guidance to faculty and academic leadership regarding regulatory impacts on academic programs, student services, and institutional policies
- Facilitates and directs institutional compliance activities with faculty and staff
- Manages the preparation and submission of all regulatory documentation including substantive/non-substantive modifications, self-studies, annual reports, and other required reporting
- Coordinates on-site regulatory evaluations and manages communication with oversight bodies
- Participates in professional development to remain current on compliance trends and practices
- Develops and implements ongoing compliance training programs for faculty and staff to support continuous improvement

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Higher Education, Education, English, Communications, or related field
- Minimum three years of experience in higher education accreditation, assessment, and/or compliance
- Demonstrated success in report writing and submission to regulatory bodies
- Proven track record working with multiple accreditation, state, and/or federal approval agencies
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems and regulatory platforms
- Additional Information
- Some travel may be required
