Description:
This employee provides excellent customer service by answering the main college phone line, providing information to callers and visitors, and/or referring to other offices as needed. This role also offers assistance to students and staff with packages received from various couriers. This position is a flexible role with variable hours based on the needs of the campus throughout the year. Shift hours will vary and include evening, weekend, and college closure periods.

Provide primary reception and support duties for the Central College information center; greet visitors; answer questions; provide information and/or refer to the appropriate office or resource.

Answer and route incoming telephone calls.

Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of campus resources.

Have an awareness and understanding of campuswide events, functions, and facilities.

Respond to emergency situations routed through the information center and forward messages to the appropriate individual; monitor police scanners and cameras in the wellness center exercise area.

Update lost items and log according to set procedures.

Receive packages from various delivery services and scan out packages for students.

Maintain an appropriate level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Requirements:
- High School diploma

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google docs, and email

Customer services skills plus 6-12 months of relative experience

Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
