Campus Technician (26-27 SY) - Districtwide

PAY GRADE: IT-1: 192 days (ECC, ES, MS, Cardwell); 230 days (High School)

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Maintain technology equipment providing both hardware and software technical assistance as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education/Certification:

A + Certification or current OS MCP or willingness to acquire within two (2) years of hiring

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Effective interpersonal, organizational, communication skills (written and verbal) train campus staff and supervise Interns.
Excellent software and hardware troubleshooting skills.
Ability to maintain records; follows written and oral instructions.

Minimum Experience :

Setting up and maintaining computers on a wired and wireless network.
Experience in configuration, troubleshooting and repair of computers and other technology equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Must maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem solving skills while under stress. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). Should be able to interpret procedures and analyze data for decision-making. Frequent in-district and occasional in-state or national travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Ability to climb ladder and work overhead. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Safety: Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidents immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
