Candle Production Assistant for a Local Luxury Candle Company

Overview

Ease Essentials Co., a sustainable luxury candle brand, is seeking a Candle Production Assistant for a part-time role. This position is primarily focused on supporting our production team at our Chatsworth, CA warehouse with tasks such as wicking, demolding, packaging, labeling, inventory upkeep, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.

There is also the option to participate as a Sales Associate at our artisan and farmers’ market pop-ups across Los Angeles. This side of the role comes with sales commission opportunities in addition to base pay — perfect for those who enjoy engaging with customers and representing our brand.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and takes pride in supporting smooth operations — whether behind the scenes in production or in front of customers at markets.

Responsibilities

Candle Production (Primary)

  • Wick vessels, demold candles, label, and package finished products.
  • Support inventory tracking and ensure supplies and products remain up to date.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production workspace.
  • Assist with general warehouse organization and product preparation.

Sales Associate (Optional, with Commission Opportunities)

  • Help set up and organize booths at local artisan and farmers’ markets.
  • Greet customers, provide product information, and help them experience candle aromas.
  • Process customer transactions using the POS system.
  • Ensure displays remain clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Earn competitive sales commissions in addition to your hourly base pay.

Qualifications

  • High regard for integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to commute to Chatsworth, CA (for production) and to market locations (if participating in sales).
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver up to 38 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Friendly and approachable; retail experience is a plus but not required.

Availability

  • Production Assistant (required): Must be available Wednesdays and Fridays at our Chatsworth, CA warehouse.
  • Sales Associate (optional, commission-based): Must be available Friday through Monday for market shifts.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
