Our Espresso-Candy Department is expanding, and we’re thrilled to introduce a brand-new leadership opportunity designed to elevate the customer experience! We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Espresso-Candy Manager to lead our newly combined Espresso Bar and Candy Shop at our Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace - Bohemia location.


This is more than a management role — it’s your chance to run one of the most exciting, high-energy destinations in our store. From handcrafted espresso drinks to beautifully decorated sweet treats, you’ll oversee a department that brings smiles to customers of all ages.


As the Espresso-Candy Manager, you’ll lead daily operations, inspire your team, and ensure every latte poured and every candy box wrapped delivers an unforgettable experience.


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the overall operations of the combined Candy & Espresso Department, including staffing, merchandising, training, inventory, and customer service initiatives

  • Create and manage department schedules to ensure seamless coverage across all store shifts

  • Ensure all drink and candy orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly

  • Oversee candy decorating, register operations, and hands-on customer service

  • Maintain and monitor all department equipment, addressing issues quickly and proactively

  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and food handling

  • Continuously evaluate processes, menu offerings, and service flow to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement

  • Assist customers with selections, answer questions, and create a welcoming, engaging atmosphere

  • Support company initiatives and contribute to overall store success


What We’re Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a candy store or coffee house as a Lead Clerk or Assistant Manager

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, storage, shelf life, safety standards, and food handling regulations

  • Proven experience hiring, training, scheduling, and developing staff

  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate and energize a team

  • A strong focus on customer satisfaction and delivering exceptional service

  • Ability to practice and enforce safety procedures, especially when handling equipment and hot beverages

  • A relationship-builder who connects easily with both customers and team members

Working Conditions

This is an active, hands-on leadership role. Most of your time will be spent moving continuously on hard surfaces and assisting throughout the department. The role may require bending, climbing, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and working near moving machinery or temperature-controlled areas such as freezers and ovens. You may occasionally be exposed to cleaning agents or sharp equipment. Safety, awareness, and attention to detail are essential.
