Cannabis Confection Kitchen Staff

Job Summary
Work with a team of prep staff in a confection kitchen to produce large quantities of cannabis gummies and other confectionery products in a fast-paced operation. Support daily workflow by rotating through various stations throughout the kitchen while maintaining a consistent, quality product. Support in maintaining the rotation of ingredients (FIFO), ensuring overall kitchen cleanliness, and upholding all health and safety compliance standards.
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to
- Rotate through various kitchen stations and provide support to other confectionery production areas as needed.
- Create, mix, and/or cook specific portions of confectionery batches as assigned by Cannabis Confections Manager.
- Accurately fill molds with high attention to detail to ensure a consistent product.
- Assist in the sugaring of products, ensuring an even coating across all batches.
- Support with prep work, weighing out ingredients and assisting with multiple gummy batches at a time.
- Maintain a sanitary workspace by cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and floors throughout the shift and during the final close.
- Manage station setup and breakdown, ensuring all stations are organized, prepared, and fully cleaned as assigned.
- Assist as needed with restocking/rotation of ingredients.
- Support other departments as needed (canning line, packaging, vape, pre-roll, balm, tincture, extraction)
Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma and/or Equivalent Vocational Training
- 1+ years previous experience in cooking, kitchen staff, hospitality, etc.
- Serve Safe Certification Preferred
- Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.
- Must be reliable and trustworthy
Equipment/Machinery:
This position requires the regular use of commercial kitchen equipment including stovetops, industrial mixers, cooking molds, weighing and measuring tools, and sanitizing equipment. Employees are expected to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, hairnets, and lab coats at all times.
Physical Exertion:
Moderate Work- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Work may include loading and unloading cases of product, setting up, lifting, lowering, and moving product.
Environmental Conditions:
Indoor Work- Indoor environments may include exposure to temperature variations, such as unheated or non-air-conditioned areas.
Travel:
No Regular Travel- This position does not require regular travel.
