Job Summary
The Cannabis Delivery Driver & Dispatcher is a dual-role position. The primary responsibility of this role is cannabis delivery operations — preparing, dispatching, and executing daily delivery routes throughout the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County from our Chatsworth, CA retail hub. During periods of low delivery volume or downtime, this team member transitions to the sales floor as a Sales Associate / Budtender, assisting customers with product knowledge and purchase decisions.
The most important qualities for this role are reliability, professionalism, customer service, and efficiency. You must be comfortable behind the wheel for extended periods, navigating delivery routes, and handling cash and product responsibly — while also being able to engage customers warmly and knowledgeably on the sales floor. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) based out of our Chatsworth, CA retail hub. Delivery routes operate throughout the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County. Shift assignments are based on business needs and may rotate across mornings, evenings, and weekends. Staff may be asked to cover shifts, adjust schedules, or fill in during short-staffed situations. Occasional overtime may be required.
Applicants with flexible, open availability across the full operating week are strongly preferred. The ability to be scheduled across varying days and times — including evenings and weekends — is an essential part of this role.
Practical Location Note: This position is based in Chatsworth, CA with delivery routes covering the broader San Fernando Valley and Ventura County. Applicants who are able to report reliably to Chatsworth, CA for varying shift start times tend to find this role the most practical fit. Consistent, punctual attendance is essential to the team and to our delivery operations.
Is Cannabis Retail Experience Required?
Previous experience working in a licensed cannabis dispensary is strongly preferred. While it is not an absolute requirement, applicants with 6 or more months of cannabis dispensary experience are given strong consideration, as product knowledge, compliance awareness, and familiarity with cannabis retail operations significantly accelerate onboarding. Applicants without dispensary experience but with strong customer service and professional driving backgrounds are still encouraged to apply and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If offered employment, training will be required for both the delivery and sales associate functions. Strain Caregivers will provide a well-balanced curriculum to assist you along the way.
Driving Requirements
Note to Applicant: An MVR check may be conducted as part of the post-offer onboarding process. This requirement exists because driving is a core essential function of this position and is consistent with California SB 1100 (eff. January 1, 2025), which permits driver's license and MVR requirements when driving is an essential job duty.

Strain Caregivers is open daily. Typical working hours are Monday–Saturday, 7:30 AM–9:30 PM, and Sunday, 8:30 AM–9:30 PM. Delivery and dispatch operations may require early start or late end times based on route scheduling. To meet the needs of the business, staff working hours are subject to change.

As required by the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC Regulations § 15000.6) and as a condition of continued employment on a licensed cannabis premises, all employees must be at least 21 years of age. Should you be invited for an interview, you will need to provide proof of age (21+) to enter our facility.
