Cannabis Full-Time Mobile Patient Care Specialist - Kansas City, MO

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Patient Care Specialist to join the Proper Home Delivery team on our journey to transform our bold ambitions for the Missouri medical and recreational cannabis market into a reality.


Our Mobile Patient Care Specialist will work at Proper's Kansas City dispensary locations. Employees will be expected to commute to work and then operate a company and state-regulated vehicle for the deliveries. The starting rate for the Mobile Patient Care Specialist is $18/hr plus tips. Proper Home Delivery operates 7 days a week, and Mobile Patient Care Specialists may have shifts during the evenings and weekends. We are looking to fill a full-time position. Full-time employees will receive benefits.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The Mobile Patient Care Specialist will transport products between designated dispensaries and private property as designated by patients and consumers
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, patients, and consumers
  • Operate under security protocols and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal agencies
  • Submit reporting and security observations accurately and on time
  • Maintain a secure vehicle by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting the vehicle, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities
  • Provide routine checkups to ensure equipment is operating within compliance
  • Load and unload vehicles at dispensaries and patients /consumers' designated locations; prepare transportation manifests and ensure that all appropriate signatures are obtained at the time of transaction and before the end of the business
  • Follow routes and schedule
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle
  • Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve patient/consumer concerns
  • Complete logs and reports
  • Follow and adhere to all written job requirements and company policies at all times, including any additions according to business needs (subject to training & qualifications)
  • Professionally and respectfully engage with colleagues, patients, and consumers
  • Assist the dispensary with back office duties or cashier as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as a Driver
  • Must have a valid Class E Driver’s License along with a clean driving record (no violations or at fault accidents)
  • Ability to drive in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Must possess the ability to reach, bend, stoop, sit, stand, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be technologically proficient enough to use mobile phone applications (GPS, mobile point-of-sale, alarm, timeclock/shift management), cameras, and other related security and fulfillment systems with training.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of combined experience in distribution logistics, customer service, or retail.
