As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager with strong procurement expertise to oversee our supply chain and ensure compliance with New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) requirements.

Position Overview

The Cannabis Inventory Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of inventory, purchasing, and vendor relations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who understands compliance, has a proven track record in procurement, and can maintain accurate inventory systems to support smooth retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily inventory operations, including intake, storage, audits, and reconciliation in accordance with CRC compliance.
• Lead procurement activities: sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing cannabis products and accessories.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance to ensure consistency and quality.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss, shrinkage, and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with sales and operations teams to forecast demand and align purchasing strategies.
• Generate inventory reports for management, regulatory bodies, and financial teams.
• Train and supervise staff on inventory handling procedures and compliance requirements.
• Ensure accurate tracking through POS systems (Treez or equivalent) and state tracking systems (Metrc).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of inventory management experience, with at least 2 years in cannabis or highly regulated industries.
• Strong background in procurement, vendor negotiations, and supply chain management.
• In-depth knowledge of NJ CRC regulations, Metrc, and cannabis compliance procedures.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong proficiency in POS, ERP, or inventory management software.
• Ability to manage budgets, forecast needs, and optimize purchasing strategies.
• Leadership experience with the ability to manage and train staff.

Preferred Skills

• Prior cannabis retail or wholesale experience in New Jersey.
• Advanced Excel/reporting skills.
• Knowledge of logistics and distribution practices.
• Familiarity with Treez POS, Jane Technologies, and Alpine IQ (AIQ).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
