Cantina 22 in Suttons Bay is seeking a friendly, energetic, and dedicated Host/Hostess to join our vibrant restaurant team. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest experience
• Manage reservations and waitlists
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about the menu and wait times
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure all guest areas are welcoming and tidy
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate timely seating and service
• Handle guest concerns or special requests courteously, escalating issues when necessary
• Support overall restaurant operations by assisting with guest relations and ensuring smooth front-of-house flow

Skills

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not necessary
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge of hospitality standards, including phone etiquette and guest relations
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Previous restaurant or hotel experience is a plus but not required
