Canvasser

Job Description:

Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) seeks a Canvasser to join our team. Our goal is to spread awareness and educate about our cause through the communities to empower policy champions to pass transformational policy to help provide better benefits for veterans and to the American people.

Responsibilities:

• Knock on 15–20 doors per hour and engage the public with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Clearly communicate the organization mission and policy goals to residents
• Consistently meet or exceed outreach targets
• Manage your time efficiently and work independently
• Represent the organization positively and accurately in the community
• Collaborate with teammates and provide updates to management
• Participate in National Days of Action
• Travel to canvassing sites as needed

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for issues that affects the community and bring the community toghether
• Comfortable walking and standing for long periods
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Willingness to work outdoors and go door-to-door

Experience:

- No prior experience needed
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.50 per hour
