Capital Markets Associate, CoreVest

The Capital Markets Associate will play a key role in supporting a broad range of capital markets activities. Responsibilities include performing in-depth financial analysis on real estate transactions, including setting loan pricing, analyzing whole loan trades, hedging with Treasury instruments, and executing RMBS/CMBS securitizations. The role also involves evaluating new investments in innovative loan products; supporting secured borrowings through existing credit facilities and securitizations; assisting with strategic initiatives and business expansion; conducting loan-level due diligence; contributing to financial and management reporting; and performing ad hoc data analysis to support business objectives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Assist in evaluating new DSCR and RTL lending opportunities, along with exploring new loan products and financing structures
  • Manage daily rate sheets for various DSCR, RTL, Term, and Bridge loan products based on mortgage market spreads and interest rates
  • Identify, analyze, and execute security/whole loan investment and disposition opportunities
  • Hedge origination pipeline and securitizations across multiple asset classes
  • Assist in evaluating new investment opportunities, loan products, and financing structures
  • Contribute to transaction due diligence, data analysis, and preparation of internal and external reporting materials
  • Support execution of capital markets transactions, including secured borrowings, credit facility activity, and securitizations
  • Conduct comprehensive company, industry and market research
  • Design and leads presentation materials for executive meetings, conferences, and external counterparties
  • Maintain professional and productive relationships with bankers, investors and capital partners
  • Train and review Analyst work product related to preparation of detailed transaction marketing materials including confidential information memoranda, teasers, term sheets and company presentations.
  • Organizes Ratings Agency Meetings, Lender Meetings and Investor Roadshows for debt offerings and private equity raises

Minimum Requirements
:
  • 2 -5+ years of relevant experience in finance, capital markets, real estate lending, investment banking, structured finance, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, accounting, or similar field.
  • Working toward a CFA designation is a plus.
  • Experience conducting company, industry, and market research to support investment decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in commercial lending or investment analysis a plus – equity, bond, real estate, single family rental, multifamily, bridge (fix and flip), ground up lending
  • Strong interest or experience in capital markets and structured products, including U.S. Treasury futures, mortgage loans, and RMBS/CMBS securities
  • Foundational understanding of discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis and the three financial statements, particularly in the context of real estate and fixed income investments
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, with the ability to build, maintain, and interpret financial models
  • Ability to analyze financial outputs and company data, synthesize key findings, and present insights clearly to senior team members
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise presentations and analytical summaries
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate initiative, intellectual curiosity, and an entrepreneurial mindset

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this role is $100,000-$150,000. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certification, and other factors.
