InSite Real Estate is a national commercial real estate development company based in Oak Brook, Illinois. InSite develops, owns, and operates tenant-driven investment property nationwide. Privately held since its 1988 formation, the company has completed over 700 industrial, office, and retail projects located in over 40 states ranging from 2,000 SF to 2.6 million SF in size, and $1 million to $800 million in value.
InSite is seeking a motivated student pursuing a degree in real estate, finance, economics, business, or a related field, who is interested in a summer internship at an entrepreneurial real estate development company. The role would provide support to the Finance team across all aspects of development and the portfolio. The intern will participate in multiple assignments to gain understanding of development and asset management across all stages of a project’s life.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Underwriting proformas for new development projects.

Creating 13- and 26-week cashflows for the InSite portfolio.

Assist in reporting requirements and documentation.

Maintain and provide analysis on investment and lease comparables across multiple asset classes.

Organize and maintain multiple data sets including counterparty records, portfolio requirements, investment sale analysis, and broad market data.

Prepare packages for new developments and dispositions.

Preparing lease abstracts and critical date milestones for new developments and portfolio properties.

Market research on industries, companies, and peer groups.

Assist analyzing financial statements, and provide input based on historical data.

Communicating effectively and clearly with lenders, brokers, and internal staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, business, or a related field
