Car Mechanic

Job Title: Car Mechanic / Automobile TechnicianJob Summary

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Car Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain cars and light motor vehicles. The mechanic will ensure vehicles are safe, efficient, and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and technical issues
• Diagnose problems using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Repair or replace faulty parts such as engines, brakes, clutches, suspension, and steering systems
• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, wheel alignment, etc.)
• Test vehicles after repair to ensure proper performance
• Maintain service records and job cards
• Follow safety procedures and workshop guidelines
• Communicate repair details and costs clearly with customers or supervisors

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a car mechanic or automobile technician
• Knowledge of petrol and diesel engines
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment
• Understanding of vehicle electrical systems
• Problem-solving and attention to detail
• ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering (preferred)
• Valid driving license (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in car servicing or repairs

(Freshers with training can also apply)

Working Conditions

• Full-time / Part-time
• Workshop or service center environment
• May require standing for long hours
