Full job description
Avalon Medical Center is seeking a full time/part time/contract board certified/eligible noninvasive Cardiologist to join our growing multi-specialty practice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients to diagnose cardiovascular conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac imaging.
  • Prescribe treatment plans, including medications and lifestyle changes, to manage cardiovascular health.
  • Educate patients and their families about heart disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient information accurately in the medical record, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in continuing education programs to maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in cardiology.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices for patient safety and care.
Minimum Education Requirement
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with a focus on Cardiology.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
  • Successful completion of an approved Cardiology residency training program.
Licensure
  • Valid and active license to practice as a Cardiologist in the State of New York.
  • BE/BC in Cardiology is preferred
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications.
  • Active DEA License
Qualifications
  • Experience in patient care within a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Experience with ECG, Echo, Stress Testing
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly to patients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism.
