Cardiology - Interventional Physician

Heart and Vascular Institute of Wisconsin, a well-established and collegial private practice, seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join our team. We are a physician-owned practice committed to a team-based, patient-first approach and a collaborative culture.


Practice Highlights
  • Physician-Owned and Independent: Enjoy the autonomy of an independent practice with a non-wRVU salaried compensation model.
  • Collaborative Environment: Our team of 5 general cardiologists, 8 interventional cardiologists, 3 electrophysiologists, and 14 advanced practice providers (APPs) works together to provide exceptional care. We hold weekly case conferences where we collaborate on patient cases to ensure the best possible treatment plans.
  • State-of-the-Art Facility: Our modern, 35,000 sq ft office features 30 exam rooms, 4 outpatient procedure rooms, and a comprehensive in-house diagnostic suite. We have a dedicated cardiac 620-slice CT with FFR, CZT SPECT, and accredited labs for echo, nuclear, and vascular studies.
  • Varied Schedule: The role involves 1-3 days per week of interventional cases at either Ascension or ThedaCare, providing a diverse clinical experience. This is a mix of hospital-based and outpatient work.
  • Work-Life Balance:
    • Call: Averaging 1 weeknight every 7 days and 1 out of every 7 weekends.
    • Hospitalist Week: Averaging 1 week out of every 7, you will serve as a cardiology hospitalist from Monday to Friday, supported by 2 APPs.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: A base salary of $600,000 for the first two years, increasing to $625,000 upon becoming a shareholder.
  • Generous Sign-On Bonus: $40,000
  • Shareholder Status: Eligible for shareholder status after two years. Annual bonuses for shareholders have historically exceeded $100,000 .
  • Comprehensive Package: We offer a robust benefits package, including a profit-sharing 401k, paid time off (PTO), CME allowance, malpractice insurance, health insurance, and a high-speed home internet and diagnostic reading setup.
