Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated cardiovascular care team. In this vital role, you will provide advanced nursing services within a specialized cardiology practice, delivering comprehensive patient assessments, diagnostics, and treatments. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes by managing complex cardiac conditions, performing procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations including vital signs, medical histories, and physical examinations focused on cardiac health.
  • Order diagnostic procedures such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations in collaboration with physicians.
  • Manage patient care plans by coordinating with cardiologists, primary care providers, and specialists across departments such as electrophysiology and heart failure clinics.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like eClincalWorks, Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide education on lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and disease management.

Qualifications

  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure with certification in cardiology or related specialties.
  • Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU or emergency medicine with a focus on cardiovascular patients.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; telehealth experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation tools like sonography and medical imaging techniques relevant to cardiology.
  • Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, CPT coding for procedures, ICD coding for diagnoses (ICD-10), and Workers’ Compensation law related to occupational health cases.
  • Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to triage effectively in urgent care or emergency room environments.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
