Cardiology Pharmacy Technician

A growing cardiology practice in Santa Monica seeks an experienced, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician. Practice focus is individualized, contemporary care in a compassionate setting and is integrated with a larger network of cutting-edge researchers and practitioners in the greater Los Angeles area. - Must have strong telephone and organizational skills, be able to multitask and coordinate various aspects of patient administrative care.

- Experience in managing medication refills utilizing standardized protocols, medication prior authorization requests, and patient assistant programs.

- Excellent computer skills needed in this paperless office. 2-3 years of EMR and experience with Epic is strongly desirable.

- Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills are required.

Duties will include management of medication refills utilizing standardized protocols, obtaining medication prior authorizations, contacting health plans or pharmacies for additional information, assisting pharmacist in health care insurance for non-covered medications, etc.

Hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday. Competitive salary and excellent benefits.
