We are currently seeking a motivated and clinically driven Physician Assistant (PA) to join our expanding Cardiology department. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider looking to grow within a supportive and fast-paced cardiology environment.

Position Summary:
The Physician Assistant will work closely with our cardiologists to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, compassionate PA who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong interest in cardiology.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations
• Assess, diagnose, and manage both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (EKGs, stress tests, labs, imaging, etc.)
• Educate patients on disease management, medications, treatment plans, and heart-healthy lifestyle modifications
• Document clinical encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the EMR system
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Assist with hospital rounds, consults, and follow-up visits as needed
• Maintain compliance with clinical guidelines, regulatory standards, and organizational protocols

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Physician Assistant license in the state of Texas
• NCCPA certification required
• Prior cardiology experience preferred;
• Motivated new graduates with a strong interest in cardiology are encouraged to apply
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and critical thinking
• Ability to work independently while thriving within a collaborative team environment
