Position Overview

A hospital in Anchorage is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join its dynamic cardiovascular services team.

This role is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced procedural environment and demonstrates strong critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.

  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures (e.g., cardiac caths, PCI, stent placements).

  • Monitor hemodynamic status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.

  • Administer medications and moderate sedation per protocol.

  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-procedure care.

  • Participate in on-call rotation as required (if applicable).

Required Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact eligibility if applicable).

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

  • Previous Cath Lab or critical care experience preferred.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

  • Prior experience in interventional cardiology or electrophysiology.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills

  • Experience with hemodynamic monitoring

  • Ability to perform in high-acuity, procedural settings

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Patient-focused and safety-driven
