Cardiovascular Sonography Program - Clinical Coordinator

Job Overview

We are seeking an additional Clinical Coordinator to support our Cardiovascular Sonography (CVS) Program. The Clinical Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting students throughout their clinical education experience. This is a highly active, student facing role that requires consistent communication, follow-through, and accountability. Students are the priority in this role. Candidates must be responsive, proactive, and committed to ensuring students are supported at all times during the clinical placement process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position is ideal for a part-time sonographer/educator who can dedicate the required time to effectively support the school and its students
  • This job requires travel to clinical sites and to school for in-person meetings
  • Ensure availability and commitment to support school operations and student needs in a timely manner
  • Establish new clinical site agreements through consistent outreach; this requires proactively visiting potential sites, introducing yourself to department supervisors, and identifying key contacts to initiate and maintain placement partnerships
  • Coordinate and manage clinical placements for CVS students
  • Maintain ongoing communication with students and ensure prompt, consistent responses
  • Support students through onboarding, clearance, and clinical transitions
  • Communicate with hospitals, imaging centers, and clinical affiliates
  • Coordinate directly with clinical sites regarding student schedules and placement availability
  • Submit formal placement requests and maintain professional relationships with clinical partners
  • Conduct clinical site evaluations and monitor student progress toward program objectives
  • Monitor student clinical progression and counsel students as needed
  • Address and resolve student concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Meet with students/class in person to provide support and guidance
  • Attend and actively participate in regular staff and program meetings
  • Assist with lab instruction or cover classes as needed
  • Work collaboratively with program directors and administrative staff

Qualifications:

  • Currently credentialed in ARDMS or CCI Required
  • Experience in clinical coordination, healthcare education, or related field preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and highly responsive
  • Teaching or lab instruction experience is a plus

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: From $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 20.0 per week
