Care Needed for Elderly Man

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional care for an elderly gentleman in a home or community setting. Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
• Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain safety and compliance
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
• Observe and document changes in the resident’s condition, including memory or behavioral shifts related to dementia or Alzheimer's care
• Support with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning living spaces, laundry, and organizing personal belongings to promote a safe environment
• Engage the resident in social activities and provide companionship to foster mental stimulation and emotional well-being

Requirements

• Proven experience in elder care, assisted living, or home & community care settings with a focus on senior and dementia care
• Knowledge of CPR, first aid, medication administration, and patient monitoring techniques
• Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs is preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when necessary
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
• Excellent observational skills for patient care, including recognizing signs of distress or health deterioration
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience for working with seniors experiencing memory loss or disabilities
