Career and Technical Education Commercial Art

A valid Louisiana teaching certificate, certification in the arts or documented industry experience in the

commercial art or graphic design field.Industry based credential in Adobe Illustrator required. Demonstrated knowledge of commercial art, graphic design, and digital design principles and practices. Knowledge of high school student and class scheduling and recruiting.Professional experience working in the commercial art, advertising, graphic design, or digital media industry. Additional industry-based credentials within Adobe Creative Cloud or related digital design platforms. Experience teaching or training in a secondary or postsecondary environment is preferred. Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with both secondary and post-secondary staff, school officials and employees, state and federal agencies and the general public.
