  • Monitor adherence to all school policies and safety protocols.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program success and school initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing technology, engineering, industrial technology, or a related field; or
  • Six (6) years of full-time industry experience in manufacturing, machining, mechanical design, or industrial production; or
  • Four (4) years of full-time industry experience combined with postsecondary education or technical training emphasizing applied mathematics, design, or production systems.
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Florida Department of Education Temporary CTE Certificate in an appropriate manufacturing or engineering discipline.
  • Candidates without a bachelor’s degree may qualify through verified industry experience and will have up to three (3) years to complete the requirements for a Professional Certificate, in accordance with FLDOE Rule 6A-4.004.
  • Ability to earn and maintain industry-recognized certifications, such as OSHA, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAPE-funded credentials.
  • Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting clearance as required by Florida law.

Key Competencies

The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to coordinate tasks effectively, establish priorities, set goals, and meet deadlines in a dynamic educational and lab environment. They adapt readily to changing work priorities while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, tact, and patience. Accuracy and efficiency are essential, along with strong organizational skills and a structured approach to maintaining a safe, orderly workspace. The candidate must be capable of working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues, students, and community partners, while setting high expectations that contribute positively to the NBHS culture.
