POSITION TITLE: Career and Technical Education Paraprofessional - Heavy Equipment

POSITION SUMMARY: The paraprofessional is responsible for assisting students in Career and Technical Education classes under the direction of a CTE instructor. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the students’ successful completion of coursework through tutoring, daily note taking, makeup work and assisting with tests, quizzes and/or projects. Responsible for completing semester/trimester summary reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated ability to work with special needs students.
• Demonstrated ability to handle situations in a confidential and professional manner.
• Demonstrated verbal, written and oral communication skills.
• High school graduate required, post-secondary education preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Google
• Prefer experience in Career and Technical Education and/or General Education

REPORTS TO: Associate Superintendent/CTE Director

SALARY/BENEFITS: $15.45/hour - $20.92/hour, based on experience

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten-month position (mid August – early June)

Monday - Friday Work Schedule, Up to 33 hours per week (approximately 7 AM – 2 PM)
