    Job Summary:
    • Teach curriculum of Independent School District 196 for the following classes:
      • Teach Emergency Medical Services Trimester 1
      • Teach Introduction to Law Enforcement Trimester 2
      • Teach Introduction to Fire Fighting Trimester 3
      • Teach Advanced Emergency Services Trimester 3
    • Carry out responsibilities as defined by the master contract.
    • Carry out responsibilities as defined by the principal.
    • Maintain good communication and cooperation with staff and parents.

    Qualifications:
    • Licensed by the State of Minnesota to teach Emergency Medical Services with a license in Medical Careers (300300) or Emergency Medical Technician (070907) or eligible for a community expert variance.
    • Certification to teach CPR
    • Has Emergency Medical Response Certification and is able to prepare learners for the Emergency Medical Response certification.
    • Able to prepare learners for the EMT national certification exams.
    • Able to teach an introductory course to learners about the science of fires and fire fighting.
    • Able to teach an introductory course on public safety with respect to the security of one's home, workplace, and community.
    • Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

    Compensation / Benefits:
    According to contractual agreement.
