Job Summary

As a Caregiver, you will provide compassionate, hands-on support to residents and clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor residents’ health by observing vital signs and noting any changes in condition
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, adhering to care plans and dietary restrictions
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring hygiene standards are met
  • Use patient observation skills to identify potential health concerns or behavioral changes promptly
  • Assist with transfer techniques using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> to ensure safety during mobility tasks
  • Follow care plans meticulously and document all care activities accurately for ongoing resident support
  • Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
  • Comply with all safety protocols, including CPR and First Aid procedures, to respond effectively during emergencies

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous
  • Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are a plus; willingness to obtain necessary certifications if not already held
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as required for patient transfers and mobility assistance
  • Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition or behavior
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to connect effectively with residents and team members
  • Experience working with people with autism or disabilities is beneficial but not required
