Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in independent living . The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents through attentive, respectful, and personalized care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or autism. Prior experience in healthcare or caregiving is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of patient safety and privacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health status or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members
• Support residents with memory care needs related to Alzheimer’s disease or dementia
• Run short activities to encourage socializing

Requirements

• Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or working with elderly
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for resident transfers or mobility assistance
• Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety oversight
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various settings including group homes or community care environments
• Experience working with people
• Flexibility to work different shifts as needed; prior experience in long-term or senior care is beneficial

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
