Job Overview
As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their own homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide support for daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in social activities and companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to hygiene standards and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, nurses, or family members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a nursing home setting is preferred.
- Strong skills in patient care and the ability to assist with various personal care needs.
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to providing high-quality home community care.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Hoyer Lift experience
- Experience with Type 1 Diabetes
