Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of residents through attentive, respectful, and personalized care. This role involves working closely with individuals who may have developmental disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Monitor and document patient observations, vital signs, and overall health status
  • Administer medications following prescribed care plans and HIPAA regulations
  • Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with meal consumption as needed
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning resident areas to maintain a safe environment
  • Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents to promote mental well-being
  • Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures to ensure resident safety
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement personalized care plans
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR, or Nursing Assistance is highly desirable
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, or dementia is a plus
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for resident transfers or mobility assistance
  • Knowledge of medication administration and vital signs monitoring is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach toward patient care
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Valid driver’s license may be required for certain positions involving community visits or transportation duties
