Duties
- Provide attentive care to children, infants, and toddlers, supporting their physical, emotional, and developmental needs
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and hygiene activities
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities, including teaching basic skills and early childhood education concepts
- Support individuals with disabilities by helping with mobility, personal care, and daily tasks in a respectful manner
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and childhood development
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols such as first aid procedures and emergency response plans
- Collaborate with families and other caregivers to ensure consistent care plans are followed
- Document observations related to childhood development or health concerns for ongoing assessment
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting or nannying roles
- Classroom experience or early childhood education background is highly desirable
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and nurturing routines
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed
- Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
