Duties
- Provide attentive care to children and infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and engagement throughout the day
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, bathing, and dressing for infants and toddlers
- Support early childhood development by implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and social skills
- Manage behavior with patience and positive reinforcement strategies to foster a respectful and encouraging atmosphere
- Collaborate with families and team members to develop personalized care plans tailored to individual needs
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or health concerns
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting roles
- Classroom experience or childcare training that demonstrates knowledge of childhood development principles
- Hands-on experience caring for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and engaging in age-appropriate activities
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Knowledge of early childhood education practices and classroom management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is a plus
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued
