Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to assist residents in our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will provide personal care, companionship, and support with daily living activities in a respectful and professional manner. The ideal person would be flexible and available to working ANY and ALL shifts from day time to overnight shifts. Seeking someone reliable who can work primarily weekends and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, toileting)
• Help residents with mobility, including transferring and positioning
• Support residents with eating and meal preparation, as needed
• Monitor residents’ health and report changes to nursing staff
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment
• Provide emotional support and companionship
• Encourage resident participation in social and recreational activities
• Follow care plans and facility policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous caregiving experience preferred (especially in assisted living or senior care)
• Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) a plus, but not always required
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and assist with physical transfers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, reliability, and compassion

Work Environment:

This role involves standing, walking, lifting, and interacting closely with elderly residents. Shifts include overnights, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
