Caregiver (AM Shift, Part-time, Private home)

Caregiver would support client with ALS. This is a highly active role due to client's physical limitations.

Caregiver would

• Transfer client from bed to wheelchair
• Facilitate morning water and medicine
• Brush teeth, toilet, & dress for the day
• Feed breakfast and lunch
• Support cough assist and suction
• Manage eye-gaze device & non-verbal communication
• Stretch, bathe and shave client

Requirements:

• Cover letter required
• Ensures client is safe, comfortable, & can communicate
• Excellent judgment and ability to rapidly adjust to client’s changing needs
• Unquestionable integrity
• Punctual and dependable
• Heavy lifting required when transferring client to/from wheelchair
• One year of adult caregiving experience preferred

Compensation:

• .$20-$25/hour starting salary; Potential pay increase when able to independently care for client
• Sick leave

Hours:

• 7:00am - 12:00am, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday

Start Date:

• Upon hire

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
