Personal Care (PCA Duties):

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility

Provide support with meals, hydration, and feeding as needed

Answer call lights promptly and provide attentive care
-
Observe and report changes in residents’ condition, behavior, or needs to supervisor
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
-
Assist with transporting residents to activities and meals
Medication Technician (Med Tech Duties):
-
Administer medications as ordered by physician and in compliance with state regulations
-
Accurately document medication administration (MAR)
-
Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions and report concerns
-
Ensure proper storage, handling, and counting of medications
-
Communicate with nursing staff, pharmacy, and providers as needed
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
Current PCA certification (if required by state)
-
Medication Technician certification required
-
CPR/First Aid certification preferred
-
Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work as part of a team and provide compassionate care

Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as needed

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods

Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations
