Job Description

The Oaks at Flower Mound is seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers / CNAs to join our team. In this role, you will provide direct care and support to residents while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Follow individualized service plans (ISP) for each resident
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing supervisor
• Document care and observations throughout each shift
• Take and record vital signs and weights as assigned
• Assist with transfers and ambulation using proper techniques and equipment
• Provide redirection, cues, and emotional support to residents
• Encourage participation in activities and assist as needed
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs
• Assist with transportation within the community and to appointments as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• CNA certification preferred
• Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant Training Program if required
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous caregiving or senior living experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with resident transfers
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks
