Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Duties

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly
  • Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
  • Support patients with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while adhering to dietary restrictions
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or developmental disabilities, including memory care activities
  • Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury
  • Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through routine cleaning tasks and infection control practices
  • Observe and document patient conditions meticulously, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals
  • Follow established care plans and protocols to deliver consistent, high-quality caregiving services in home health or assisted living environments

Skills

  • Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings
  • Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s disease or dementia is highly valued
  • Strong ability to assist with ADLs and provide direct support tailored to individual needs
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents, families, and social workers
  • Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and long shifts; ability to operate mobility aids safely
  • Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care and emotional support
