Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor residents’ vital signs and health status regularly, reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and maintain detailed medication records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary plans, ensuring cleanliness and safety in the kitchen area
• Support residents’ social engagement by facilitating activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks within the resident’s personal space and common areas
• Document all care activities accurately and communicate effectively with team members to coordinate comprehensive resident support

Experience

• Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable
• Proven background in caregiving roles involving assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in a group home or retirement home setting
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and long-term care procedures
• Certification in first aid is required; additional certifications such as CPR or specialized caregiving training are a plus
