Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Med Tech to join our team for the first shift, providing exceptional care and support to residents in a vibrant, community-focused environment. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any abnormalities promptly
- Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia care, including memory care activities and behavioral management strategies
- Provide assistance with medical procedures such as tube feeding, catheter care, and basic nursing tasks under supervision
- Maintain detailed medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care in assisted living, nursing home, or hospice settings
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing practices including medication administration and vital signs monitoring
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care support
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
- Certification as a Medical Technician (Med Tech) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required
- Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills to foster positive resident relationships
- Must be able to follow recipes and cook
- CBRF certified
