• Total: 8 hours per day / 16 hours per weekend

$20–$25 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications; private pay position)

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Caregiver to provide personalized in-home support to a senior in Laguna Woods. This is a private-pay, part-time weekend position helping with morning and evening routines. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoys supporting older adults to maintain independence and dignity in their own home.

Shifts focus on assistance with daily needs during key times of the day. No overnight care required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support as needed

• Provide medication reminders

• Prepare simple meals and assist with feeding if required

• Offer companionship, conversation, and light recreational activities

• Perform light housekeeping tasks related to client care (e.g., tidying the client's space, laundry, dishes)

• Ensure safety and well-being during shifts

• Communicate clearly with family about the client's day and any observations

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of previous caregiving experience (preferred, especially with seniors)

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality

• Ability to pass a background check

• Reliable transportation to Laguna Woods

• Valid driver's license and auto insurance (if transporting client occasionally)

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Registered with California Home Care Services Bureau (or willingness to register) – helpful for private caregivers in Laguna Woods Village

• References from previous caregiving roles preferred
