Caregiver RCFE

At Tomorrow's Home we are seeking a committed caregiver to join our team. Our caregivers support people who need day-to-day assistance, such as older adults, individuals living with disabilities, or those suffering from a health condition. We are searching for a qualified candidate to aid in medication administration, help our clients with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, eating when needed, and provide companionship. The caregiver must be patient, empathetic, and dedicated to providing excellent care for our clients. Candidates can expect to work in our facility or in our clients’ homes. Candidates will have the support of the owners being registered nurses if questions arise during their shift, which is a unique resource.

Do not apply if unavailable every other weekend and some holidays. We are open year round.

Responsibility of the Caregiver:


  • Serve as a supportive and encouraging companion by engaging with clients in a manner that promotes their independence and maintains their dignity. Including initiating and participating in leisure activities to encourage socialization and mentation

  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from bed/chair as needed while retaining respect and independence and dignity within their limitation as addressed in their care plan

  • Address clients needs with respect and attention to always maintain their safety

  • Ensure client home is safe and organized according to their needs, this will include light housekeeping duties if they are not able, following the cleaning schedule ( laundry, bedrooms, dining area, living space, bathrooms, kitchen, and other areas)

  • Assist with medication administration assistance and possible monitoring vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen level) if required with medications

  • Maintains clients’ daily records in app in timely manner in accordance with company policy and procedures

  • Monitor and report changes in health and behavior and needs

  • Communicate with family regularly.

  • Prepare a healthy meal and assist with eating as necessary. Encouraging adequate fluids while respecting the clients’ rights to free choice. Report on changes in eating habits, lack of fluid intake to supervisor

  • Maintain a safe and comfortable living environment for clients, while encouraging teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers


Caregiver qualifications and requirements:


  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver’s license with reliable registered insured vehicle

  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Ability to fluently read, write and speak English

  • Ability to pass a required TB test and physical exam

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds per state requirements.

  • Previous experience as a caregiver or related field strongly preferred.

  • Ability to work independently, with good time management

  • Willingness to work flexible hours

  • Must be available to work every other weekend (required)

  • Must be available to work some holidays (we are open year-round and do not close)

  • Strong desire to help others

  • Compassion and empathy

  • Professional and friendly attitude

  • Willingness to obtain first aid/CPR card upon hire

  • Experience with Alzheimer’s and Dementia strongly preferred


Schedule:

  • Flexible weekday shifts available

  • 7 eight hour shifts a Pay Peroid

  • Every other weekend required

  • Holiday availability required (rotating schedule)
