Caregiver Relations Coordinator

Job Summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of DeSoto County is hiring a Caregiver Relations Coordinator to support caregiver operations and daily scheduling. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, communicates effectively, and can respond quickly to changing needs while ensuring caregivers are supported and client services remain consistent.

This role has a dual focus:

  • Caregiver coordination and scheduling (primary)

  • Client relations and service coordination (secondary)

The Caregiver Relations Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring caregivers are properly supported, shifts are filled, and services are delivered without disruption. This role requires someone who remains calm, responsive, and reliable in time-sensitive situations.


Responsibilities

Caregiver Coordination & Scheduling (Primary)

  • Coordinate caregiver scheduling and client assignments

  • Manage call-offs, open shifts, and last-minute coverage needs

  • Proactively fill shifts and ensure full schedule coverage

  • Communicate schedules, updates, and changes clearly with caregivers

  • Support caregiver onboarding, coordination, and readiness for assignments

  • Monitor caregiver performance, reliability, and engagement

  • Partner with leadership to maintain a strong, dependable caregiver team

  • Respond to urgent staffing needs with a sense of urgency and accountability

  • Make real-time decisions to resolve scheduling challenges and prevent service gaps

Client Relations & Service Coordination (Secondary)

  • Support client communication as needed regarding schedules and services

  • Assist with coordinating service updates and schedule adjustments

  • Help ensure continuity of care and appropriate caregiver matching

  • Address basic client concerns and escalate as appropriate

Administrative & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate caregiver records, files, and documentation

  • Track certifications, training, and compliance requirements

  • Ensure documentation aligns with company policies and state regulations

  • Assist with incident reporting and follow-up related to caregivers

  • Provide regular updates on scheduling, staffing, and key activities

Qualifications

  • Experience in non-medical home care, healthcare staffing, or patient care required

  • CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification preferred

  • Supervisory skills preferred

  • Experience with caregiver scheduling, staffing, or direct care strongly preferred

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with scheduling software (AxisCare or similar) preferred

  • Reliable and responsive, with the ability to manage urgent staffing needs and stay effective under pressure

Job Details

  • Part-time

  • Evening and weekend on-call phone coverage required on a rotating basis
