Caregiver Weekends

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional weekend support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities and personal care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness, all while working flexible weekend hours. As a Caregiver on weekends, you will deliver vital support that promotes independence, safety, and well-being in a variety of settings including private homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, and community care environments. Your energy and commitment will help create a warm, respectful atmosphere where clients feel valued and cared for.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary
  • Monitor patients’ health status by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior
  • Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Support clients with mobility challenges through safe transfer techniques and assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean environment
  • Document care activities meticulously, including medication administration, patient observations, and any incidents or concerns
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment that encourages social interaction and mental well-being

Skills

  • Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
  • Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and resident’s specific needs
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid; familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs
  • Strong observational skills for monitoring vital signs and recognizing signs of distress or deterioration
  • Experience with medication administration, care plans development, and patient monitoring techniques
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
